WEATHER-TYPICAL CONDITIONS FOR TIME OF YEAR:

July in Florida is very warm. However, most places have very cool air conditioning so you will want to bring a light sweater or jacket for indoors. Also, bring an umbrella as it rains off and on throughout the summer days.

HOSPITALITY:

Mixon’s recommends that guests stay at the Holiday Inn Express on State Road 64. It has just been remodeled and is the nicest in the area. It is Letter H on the Nearby Hotels link below. From there, it's only about a 7 minute drive to Mixon's. They also have a special rate there. If people identify themselves as guests of Mixon’s Fruit Farms, the rate is $75 per night. If there are any problems, you can book the rate through General Manager Sue Carron.
